BB10 Survives The Quake of '08

So, today there was a 5.4 earthquake in Los Angeles and what was the first thing I thought of...Big Brother.  Well not really, the first thing I thought was "Holy Shit! Earthquake, I'm going to die!", and then I thought about the folks at the Big Brother house.  I went to YouTube to see the video, but they showed the fish tank when it happened.  Looks like they want to save that for the show...most likely on Thursday nights show.

However, the news channel got a short clip of the event.  Most of the folks have never experienced an earthquake before.  That was definitely the strongest I've ever felt!  Well, I'm watching tonight's episode right now, I hope something good happens!

The Pack Leader

How awesome is this!  I work in a dog friendly office, and last week, one of the dog owners called Cesar Milan for some help!  They shot part of the show at my office, and I was so excited, and of course had to do some random walk-by's in the background!

Well...he came back today!  He was so inspired in our office, and wanted to help everyone!  He did a seminar, and answered questions that people had about there dogs.  It was awesome!  Cesar Milan is now my new hero!

He also has the most whitest, straightest, fakest teeth I have ever seen!

Can't We All Be Friends?

My Aunt sent me this video, and I thought it was hilarious!  I think I have seen almost every episode shown!  I would love to find other themes that happen across every reality show, so throw some ideas at me, or other clips you may have found!

It's here . . .

Big Brother 10 started last Sunday (7.13.08) on CBS. Now many of you know that Big Brother is the ultimate reality show, so I hope everyone is watching it. Even if you have never seen a single episode of Big Brother in the past- it is not too late for you to join the cool crowd and start watching it!

Here are the basics: 13 strangers (of all ages, races, sexual orientation, and beliefs) move into the Big Bother house. It is a live show, so even as you read this awesome blog, there are 13 people stuck in the Big Brother house and if you pay a small fee (I am too cheap) you can watch them 24/7 online! Yes, that is right, you can watch them like animals in a cage as they take showers, eat, talk, sleep, etc.

Anyways, new episodes air every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday- yes, 3 times a week so it is a small time commitment, but totally worth it! Every week the house guests compete for food (loser have to eat “slop” for a week), luxuries (like hot water), power (Head of Household), and to not get kicked out (every week one person is voted out until we have a winner).

The people inside the Big Brother house are totally cut off from the outside world. No TV, no magazines, no paper, no writing utensils, no phones, there are not even camera men (everything is taped and recorded through double sided mirrors throughout the house). Basically, the people in the house start to go stir crazy and eventually bat shit crazy!

My favorite part is when people start to hook up, or as Will and Boogie used to call them “Show-mances”. Now keep in mind that the people in the house are taped 24/7 so when they kiss – we see it. When they change clothes- we see it. When they have sex- we see it!

This season looks interested! Angie, April, and Keesha are all super hot (as a normal straight woman I like to check out the chicks and not the men)! Jerry (the old great grandpa) is adorable! Renny is a fucking psycho and I would predict that she will be the first to get voted out but there are always so many surprises in the Big Brother house!

I almost forgot to mention that Julie Chen is the host and she was looking HOT on Sunday night! Julie was sparkle-tastic like normal (my boyfriend made up the word sparkle-tastic to describe Julie like 4 seasons ago and it has stuck ever since). Seriously, Julie always has on so much glitter stuff that I am blinded when I look at her.

Run to your DVR/TIVO and set a series recording ASAP!

My Girl Crush Continues...But With Competition!

My girl crush continues with Mia Michaels continues on tonight, but I think Mandy Moore is giving her a run for her money!  I am always a bit sad when there is not a Mia Michaels routine on SYTYCD, today we got 2!!  So who thinks Mia is going to get her own show in the future...it's going to happen!

My question is, where is Wade!  I think he might have done one group routine so far...but seriously, I need some Wade!

My favorites are still Chelsea and Mark (did you see that Tabitha and Napoleon routine last week..absolutely LOVED it!!  I used that as my visual in case you missed it) and Twitch and Karrington.  I will not shed a tear if Thayne leaves this week...he is just too blah for me.

I just saw on the news that Pasha from last season participates in gay ballroom dancing, even though he is straight....I'm confused.

Real Life Grey's Anatomy

Are you watching Hopkins? Surprisingly, my boyfriend turned me on to this show! Hopkins is a reality show (boyfriend justifies watching it by calling it a documentary) about The John Hopkins Hospital. It is like a real life Grey’s Anatomy- only good!

It is only a six-episode series so you have to watch it. It is on ABC and the second episode is tonight- go DVR/TEVO now. If you missed the first episode you can watch it here http://hopkins.abcnews.com/episodes/1.

The most interesting doctor so far is Brian Bethea who is similar to a real life McDreamy. He is attractive and flirts with every female in the hospital, only catch is that he is married (to his childhood sweetheart)- but they are in the process of going through a messy divorce on the show so we all get to watch the drama!

Calling ALL Doctors

We need a doctor for an emergency (pro-bono) hysterectomy. Alicea from NBC’s The Baby Borrowers needs to have her baby-producing organs removed ASAP. This bitch should never be allowed to reproduce – EVER! Who agrees with me here?

I mean after her baby was a little difficult at feeding time, Alicea gave up and said, “Fine. Starve.” Now, Alicea refuses to even hold the baby and opted to go to work next week instead of staying home with the baby. I am pretty sure Alicea is going to be the only female who goes to work- the rest of the ladies will stay home with the baby.

So after I watched the first episode of The Baby Borrowers, I made a mental note never to allow my boyfriend to watch the show for fear he would refuse to have 8 kids with me (just like Jon & Kate). Speaking about babies- we went to a nice restaurant for dinner on Saturday night and at the table next to us the Dad was wearing a baby harness with his new born on his chest. He ate his entire meal with his baby on his chest and my boyfriend decided, “I will never wear one of those things.” Naturally I was a little disappointed after he said this- any thoughts? Should I be disappointed?
